Craik RCMP asking for public's help on recent crimes

CRAIK - The RCMP detachment in Craik is asking for the public's assistance regarding several recent reports of vandalism, theft and mischief. Anyone with relevant information on the following incidents is asked to contact the police or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.

Davidson: solar light, sign damaged
On June 29, the police received a complaint of mischief in regards to a solar light and sign located on a residential property on Ottawa Street in Davidson. Police determined that someone accessed the property, damaged the light and a sign that identified the house's street address, and fled the scene.

Davidson: vehicle's rear window broken
Police received a report that a vehicle had its rear window broken while parked on the 500 block of King Edward Street in Davidson, sometime between 11 p.m. and midnight on July 9. There were also reports of an altercation between individuals in the area, but so far no connection has been made.

Davidson: items stolen from garage
Several items were stolen from the garage of a residence on the 100 block of Government Road between 10:30 p.m. on July 7 and 6 a.m. on July 8. Police determined that someone entered the garage and stole a roofing air nailer, a large box of cans saved for recycling, and other miscellaneous items.

Davidson: chainsaw theft attempted
Sometime between 10:50 a.m. and 11 a.m. on July 20, three suspects attempted to steal a Stihl chainsaw from a business on the 200 block of McGregor St. in Davidson. Two males and a female were reportedly seen leaving with a sparkplug wrench and the chainsaw's instruction manual.
The older male is described as having dark skin, a Spanish accent, wearing a dark hat and jacket, at about 5'10" and 150 lbs. The younger male is described as having dark skin, wearing a green shirt, ball cap and red-tinted sunglasses, at about 6'0" and 180 lbs. The female is described as having dark skin, wearing a larger beige dress and carrying a large beige purse, at about 5'6" and 130 lbs. All three were seen leaving in an Acura cross-over vehicle.

Chamberlain: yellow Pontiac vandalized
Police received word that a yellow 2009 Pontiac G5 was vandalized while parked at Shotz on 11 bar in Chamberlain, between 6 p.m. on July 3 and 2 a.m. on July 4. There were no witnesses to the incident.

Lovering Lake: boats damaged
Several boats were reported damaged at a cabin on Lovering Lake, between Aylesbury and Chamberlain, sometime on June 25 or 26. The boats, anchored to trees in a secluded area, were damaged when suspects attempted to remove them. Three male suspects were seen leaving the cabin area in a green Saturn Ion.

Biggar RCMP looking for details on theft of power tools

BIGGAR - The RCMP detachment in Biggar is requesting the public's help in regard to an incident in which several power tools were stolen from a local business.

On August 10, at approximately 1:30 a.m., a commercial business was entered and several Husquvarna gas-operated power tools were taken. Among the items stolen were chainsaws with the following model numbers: 240e, 440e, 445 and 455. A backpack blower, model number 130 BT, was also taken.

Watrous RCMP asks for help on Highway 2 thefts

WATROUS - Watrous RCMP are requesting assistance from the public regarding two separate incidents of theft that occurred along Highway 2 in Watrous.

On July 18, a tractor dealership reported the theft of a John Deere garden tractor with attached bucket and tiller, a zero turn John Deere lawn mower and two John Deere push mowers.

Two men were reportedly seen earlier, at around 11:30 p.m. the previous night. The first was described as Caucasian, about 185 lbs. and between 5'5" and 5'7" in height, clean-cut, wearing a grey hoodie, black pants and black running shoes. The second was taller with a skinny build and dark hair, wearing a black hoodie, black pants and white shoes. Both men appeared to be about 30 years of age.

Two men of similar description were seen earlier in a dark green Ford Explorer, thought to be a mid-2000s model.

That same night, a white Ford F-350 crew cab truck was stolen from the lot of the GMC dealership in Watrous. The vehicle was equipped with a 6-inch lift, so it should be recognizable as it is quite high.
