LLOYDMINSTER-An investigation into a fatal house fire in Lloydminster on Jan. 24 continues.

Irene Mae Brown, 68, of Lloydminster and formerly of Kenaston, died as a result of the fire.

Lloydminster RCMP reports that the cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed, however, investigators are treating the fire as suspicious.

RCMP members from Lloydminster detachment are being assisted by Lloydminster Forensic Identification Services, the F Division Fire Scene Investigator from North Battleford and the K Division Major Crime Units from Edmonton and St. Paul. There has also been assistance from the F Division Major Crimes and

Forensic Identification Services from Saskatoon, as well as the Saskatchewan Provincial Fire Commission office.

A funeral service for Irene Brown was held in Kenaston on Friday.
