DAVIDSON-The midget Huskies have advanced to the second round of provincial C playoff hockey.
Davidson, Thursday, beat Central Butte 4-1 in game 2 of the best of three series.

The Huskies scored three goals in the first period, the first coming at 10:50 by Eric Packet on an unassisted effort. Less than a minute later, Joshua Sanden scored off a feed from Nolan Curts.

As the period wound down, Linden Freeden, from Brayden Williams, scored to give Davidson a 3-0 lead heading into the second period.
Central Butte's Kalen Oram scored 14 minutes in the second period.

His would be the Flyers' only goal of the game. Two minutes later, Dylan Boyle scored the Huskies' fourth goal of the game with help from Preston Esmond.

The third period was scoreless and Davidson recorded the win and a trip to the next round of provincials.

Attendance was excellent at the Communiplex with a lucky winner taking home $400 from the Pot of Gold draw.

The Huskies will play either Gravelbourg or Coronach, depending on the outcome of that series.
