Greg Brkich receives SaskParty nomination for Arm River-Watrous

BLADWORTH-Last Tuesday, long-time Arm River-Watrous MLA Greg Brkich became the Saskatchewan Party's third candidate for the 2011 provincial election.

Brkich was nominated as the party's candidate at a nomination meeting in Bladworth. He will seek a fourth consecutive term when the next election rolls around.

He first ran for the Saskatchewan Party in 1999 and was re-elected in 2003 and 2007 and has held a number of positions in his more than ten years as an MLA.

Brkich currently serves as the deputy speaker and chair of the committee of the whole. Premier Brad Wall appointed Brkich as the legislative secretary to the Minister of Agriculture, Agriculture Programs Innovation Initiative. He is currently vice-chair of the caucus' standing policy committee on intergovernmental affairs and justice.

And is also a member of the legislature's standing committee on intergovernmental affairs and justice as well as the private bills house committee.
