Davidson First Troop plays host to Cub Car Rally

DAVIDSON-Davidson 1st Troop played host to the Cub Car Rally March 13 and 14 at the town hall in Davidson.
Children and adults from Outlook, Rosetown and Davidson Scouting troops attended the event.

Cubs, aged 8 to 11, had to design and build Cub cars out of a block of wood. Scouts, aged 12 to 15, had to design and build 18-wheel semis.
1st Troopers started building their vehicles in February and finished just in time to host the races.
Businesses from Davidson helped sponsor the events. Following are the results of the five races:

Straight line: 1st Breanna Shaw, Davidson; 2nd Parker Smith, Davidson; 3rd Carter Montelle, Rosetown;
Stopping on the spot: 1st Hannah Gust, Davidson; 2nd Liam McJannet, Davidson; 3rd Carter Montelle, Rosetown;
Obstacle course: 1st Parker Smith, Davidson; 2nd Breanna Shaw, Davidson; 3rd Hannah Gust, Davidson;
Distance: 1st Carter Montelle, Rosetown; 2nd Parker Smith, Davidson; 3rd Liam McJannet, Davidson;
Speed: 1st Logan Davis, Rosetown; 2nd Kurtis Bonneau, Davidson; 3rd Jacob Schilling, Davidson;
Craftsmanship judged by David Gregor: Cubs' winner was Parker Smith and the Scouts' winner was Olivia Whyte of Outlook.
