The Hanley School of Dance presented "The Walk of Fame" on May 8, performing 24 different routines to a full auditorium at the Hanley Composite School.
The recital, which also included a lunch for the audience, featured several award-winning routines from past dance festivals.
Abiding Lines," featuring Dylan Haight and Taylor Froese, won gold at both the Dance Aberdeen Competition and the Biggar Dance Festival, also receiving an award for most promising modern duet at the latter show.
"Freeze," featuring Hanna Anderson, Kennedi Dietz, Jill Kroeger and Madison Prosofsky, won gold at both festivals.
"Controlicious," featuring Brooke Anderson, Nikkita Bedient, Taylor Froese, and Dylan Haight, won silver at both festivals, as did "Higher Ground," featuring Anderson, Bedient, Froese, Allysha Leuschen and Madison Prosofsky.
"Knock on Wood," featuring Hanna Anderson, Kennedi Dietz, Jill Kroeger and Madison Prosofsky, won gold at Biggar and silver at Aberdeen.
"Do Your Thing," featuring Kabree Ballard, Kirsten Cory and Cabri Peters, won gold at Aberdeen and silver at Biggar.
Several of Hanley's students also took home awards at both shows. Hanna Anderson won silver in the ballet category at both Biggar and Aberdeen, while Kirsten Cory won silver in the tap category at both shows.
Kennedi Dietz won gold in the ballet category at both shows. Madison Prosofsky won platinum in the jazz category at Biggar and gold in the jazz category at Aberdeen.
Taylor Froese won silver in the hip hop category at both shows. She also won bronze in the lyrical category at Biggar and silver in the lyrical category at Aberdeen.
This recital was the last for Nikkita Bedient, who has studied dance for 12 years. She will begin studying Early Childhood Education at the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology this fall.
